Since 1971, Citizens Bank of the South’s Sandersville Branch location at 818 South Harris Street in Sandersville has served our community by providing customer-focused financial services. On Friday, December 27, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., CBOTS will permanently close this location, transitioning services to the Main Office located at 132 South Harris Street in Sandersville. The decision to close this location was based on a multiple year study, evaluating the branch’s customer and transaction activity. This extensive study highlighted a clear shift in customer habits and the increased usage of electronic banking services.

“Our priority is to ensure that all our customers, especially our south-side Branch customers, have the most effortless transition as possible with this change,” said David Brooker, President & Chief Executive Officer of CBOTS.

With this transition, customers will not experience interruptions in access to their deposit accounts, and all banking services will continue to function. In addition, the bank personnel from the south-side location will relocate to the Main Office, delivering a seamless customer service experience that furthers our commitment to providing personal attention given to the needs and requirements of our customers.

While the full-service site will close at the end of the year, Citizens Bank of South will maintain a permanent ATM (Automated Teller Machine) at the 818 South Harris Street location. The ATM will continue to dispense cash withdrawals and accept check and cash deposits for CBOTS debit card holders.
