We recommend storing checks in locked area and "stamping the front" so that it would be easy to detect that the item was submitted via a remote capture device. In the Customer Agreement, the Customer agrees to deposit an item only once with the Remote Deposit service, and that the original checks will be stored securely for 60 days from the date of deposit. Following the 60 days, the checks should be destroyed in accordance with federally regulated information disposal guidelines.
